Snow Clearing
Snow clearing machines for the railway
Railcare has used its vacuum technology for snow and ice clearing since 2004 and built on extensive experience in terms of efficient snow removal on the railway. In 2011, development collaboration was initiated with Trafikverket in Sweden, which resulted in the construction of the world’s largest snow melter for the railway, SR-700.
This was followed up with the development of the flexible snow plough SR-200.
Railcare offers a gentle method of snow removal, with minimal damage to the railway. The advantage of melting snow is also the easy handling of the melted water.
