Railcare has been certified in accordance with the new ECM regulation for vehicles, (EU) 2019/779.
– Railcare can now have a more overall view of the vehicles we use in our operations, and our locomotive workshop can also offer its services to external customers based on a recognised system, says Hans Flodmark, Safety Manager at Railcare.
From 16 June 2022, there is a requirement for a certified ECM (Entity in Charge of Maintenance) for all railway vehicles in use. The four different levels within which the responsible unit is certified are F1: the management function, F2: maintenance development function, F3: Fleet maintenance management, and F4: maintenance delivery function. Within Railcare, two companies have now received their certification.
- Railcare T AB has received a new ECM certificate for locomotives, wagons and track-based work machines regarding all four levels above (F1-F4), which includes Railcare’s workshops in Skelleftehamn and Pitkäjärvi.
- Railcare Lokverkstad AB has received a new ECM certificate for locomotives, wagons and track-based work machines to be able to perform vehicle maintenance (F4).
